David Rashed has been playing music since he was five years old. Growing up, he was in several High School bands, but it was HAYWIRE in 1981 that really took off. The band started playing in the fall of 81, and they continue playing to this day.
When David and his wife moved back home from Ontario, operating a studio was something that he knew he wanted to do. The convenience of operating his own business worked, as he was able to work around their young and growing family at the time.
David operates David Rashed Productions, at his studio called The Studio at The Guild. He has been a music producer since 1992 with his first “real” project being with the band called Realworld from Cape Breton. Gordie Sampson was the guitarist in that band, and he went on to write some #1 hits around the world.
David collaborated with Mike Stratton to write and produce the Love Local, PEI jingle that has been playing on the radio since August. David and Mike have been friends since junior high school, but this was the first time they have ever collaborated on a project before.
Mike is a life-long musician who has written and recorded music and decided to try jingle writing about 12 years ago. Since then, he has written over 60 jingles for business on PEI, the Maritimes and even in the United States. Mike is the author behind the famous PEI Buns N Things jingle!
Thank you, David and Mike, for producing our Love Local, PEI jingle!
