This fall, Kimberly Davey from At Your Service Creations and Shana Thornhill from Fat Cat Bakery joined forces to open a new retail location in Charlottetown, At Your Service Creations and Fat Cat Bakery. They specialize in cookies that not only look amazing but taste great too and quality homestyle baking. For Kimberly and Shana, supporting local is key, and as a result, they’ve developed a very loyal and repeat customer following in a short period of time.
Kimberly and Shana make sure that they go as local as possible, from ingredients to packaging to services. They also collaborate with other local businesses to create new product offerings such as boxes goods.
Bringing joy into peoples’ lives is what Kimberly and Shana love about being business owners. For Kimberly, especially, it is the smile that children get when they come in and see the walls of cookies. As for Shana, she loves the reaction when people see the cake she made for them. “I made a birthday cake a few weeks ago, and the young man teared up when he saw it, and that means me too.” She said, “It seems like such a small thing, a beautiful cake for a special occasion, but it does make a difference.”
