Love Local, PEI: Belfast Mini Mills

Belfast Mini Mills started more than thirty years ago after the Nobles family realized the need for small scale wool and other fibre processing for farmers. The Mill Store is their proof-of-concept yarn shop that shows some of the products that can be processed using their equipment.

You can find knitting, crocheting, weaving, and felting supplies at The Mill Store. They also offer guided tours of their Production Mill in the summer months, and they also manufacture their processing equipment on-site for their Mill Clients.

“When people support our small business, it means the world. It allows us to share fibre crafts and ensure this art doesn’t get lost in the hubbub of today’s world while also allowing us to help farmers get the most out of their livestock by creating additional avenues of income.” say the Nobles.

What the Nobles love most about being small business owners is the very detailed and individual support they can provide to each and every one of their customers and clients. “Being able to nurture a new knitter’s new hobby with pattern assistance and product selection, inspire experienced felters with a wide palette of colours of our wool rovings and tailor each mill set up to ensure not only the needs and wants of our clients but supporting their ability to grow as wool/fibre producers is extraordinarily fulfilling.” say the Nobles.
