Devon: Tell me who you are and what your business is?

Jamie: Hi, I’m Jamie. My Husband Eric Zehr and I are the proud owner operators of the Island Stone Pub in Kensington, Prince Edward Island.

Devon: Why do you think it’s important to support local businesses?

Jamie: I believe in supporting local because our farmers, fishers, growers and brewers are our customers and we are your customers, and together we can grow as a community.

Devon: What’s something you would like people to know about your business?

Jamie: Our tiny little pub is situated inside a national historic site, the Kensington Train Station that was built in 1904. Fun fact, are little kitchen use to be the ticket office for the train station when it was operating as a train station. Our pub area was the gentleman’s waiting room, and are dining room was the waiting room for the women and children.

Thanks to Love Local for highlighting our small business during your small business week campaign.
